The Homer D. Babbidge, Jr. Award |
|
Established in 1985, the Babbidge Award is given to the scholar judged to have published the best book on Connecticut history in the previous calendar year. The Association for the Study of Connecticut History invites nominations for the 2008 Homer D. Babbidge, Jr. Award which will be presented at its 2008 annual meeting. The award is given for the best work on a significant aspect of Connecticut’s history published in 2007. The types of works that are eligible include monographs, articles, edited works, films, exhibitions, television programs, etc. A work will be considered only if nominated by someone other than the author. A copy of the work must accompany the nomination. Also considered will be persons or organizations whose achievements as a whole, rather than one specific work, merit recognition.
